Check out this beautifully put together short by San Franciscan filmmaker Sean Mullens. I'm going to try remember it every time I want to bitch about the surf being crappy, the condition of my board or my lack of ability when standing on it and just be stoked I can get out there and paddle around.

Humbled by this amazing video. Great shooting and a true sense of what the ocean can do for us all. I'm going to hit the surf now and embrace every moment of it with a new sense of appreciation!

Unfortunately I can relate, my mum's just suffered a massive stroke and I'm having to teach her how use her mind, arm and leg again.

I have seen hundreds of surf films in my time, none come even close to explaining what it means to truly love the experience of riding a wave, until now. Howard is the possibly the happiest surfer ever. If only we could all value the experience in the same way.
